This tour is to know the importance of El Alamein, which was the site that held two battles in WWII, from an expert tour guide, and visit the World War II Cemetery. The tour’s start time is flexible, but usually the tour starts around 8 AM, takes a duration of eight hours, and ends around 4 PM. This private tour includes Pick-Up with our air-conditioned vehicles at your requested location, and Drop Off at your requested location. Visit Al-Alamein Military Museum Visit World War II Cemetery
The tour starts at 7 AM, where a GEM Explore representative will be waiting for you outside your hotel to drive you 240km northwest of Cairo to El Alamein. The first stop is visiting El Alamein World War II Military Museum. The Museum introduces a group of weapons, armors, and models which symbolize Al-Alamein battles and the contributing forces, and acquisitions of battle commanders.
After a water break, the tour continues by visiting the World War II Cemetery which is also known as the Commonwealth cemetery. The memorial commemorates 11,866 Commonwealth forces members who died during World War II.
Finally, the tour finishes usually at 5 PM and drive you to the Pick Up location or a nearby place around 7 PM.
